Network Engineer, VoIP

Responsible for Voice over IP network design, integration on Local Area Network and Wide Area Network in support of the Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data (AVVID). B.S. Degree preferred. Cisco certifications required.

Qualifications   Minimum five years of Network engineering and experience with the following required: Network design and implementation. Local area technologies such as Ethernet, Token Ring. Bridging and routing technology, IP protocol, suite and the associated routing issues, LAN protocol management, Network General Sniffer and/or other protocol capture and decode analyzers and applications, Cisco IOS and Cisco product line. Demonstrated ability to design, implement and mentor customers on complex network integrations. Demonstrated ability to determine, evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot network and application performance issues. General knowledge of VoIP Network design considerations to include Traffic theory basics, Traffic models, Selecting traffic models and ability to apply traffic analysis to VoIP Networks. Understand Echo Analysis to be able to locate echo sources, recognize the effects of Network elements on echo, echo canceller operation, measurement and manage customer expectations
